SNAP and DEVELOP By Mike Hart October, 1989
==== ======= ~~~~~~~~~
1. SNAP.EXE is a Terminate-and-Stay-Resident program (TSR)
which, one installed, allows you to take up to thirty
'snapshots' of your screen. SNAP is installed merely by typing
its name ('SNAP') with no parameters.
2. Press 'PRTSC' to take a picture of the screen. (This may be
labelled SCR PRT on your computer) You will here a low beep and
the words SNAPSHOT.XX will appear in the top right hand corner
of the screen where XX stands for a number between 1 and 30.
3. When you have finished taking your 'snapshots' you may 'develop'
them into files. From DOS, or from a batch file, type DEVELOP
[Dr:] where [Dr:] may be the drive upon which you wish the snaps
[SNAPSHOT.01..SNAPSHOT.30] to be developed. (The music is the
opening bars of 'Il mio tesoro' from W.A.Mozart's 'Don Giovanni')
4. 'DEVELOP' should also restore the PRTSC vector to its correct
function. If this fails on your computer, then reboot the
machine. SNAPSHOT stays resident until you reboot in any case.
